City Council Approves Project Entitlement

On Tuesday, June 23rd, the City Council approved the entitlement for phase 1 of the Downtown Project. In a 5-0 vote, the entitlement applies to the mixed-use and hotel on the west side of the property, the restaurant on the eastern corner of the public park, and the public park that includes a splash pad, tree decks, and other public amenities. The second reading of the ordinance passed successfully on Tuesday, July 7th, as well as the approval to issue a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for developers to build the project.

The RFQ for partner developers will be issued later this summer. Interested parties can register as a City vendor here to be notified when the RFQ documents are released.
